Built for the toughest hydraulic circuits

The A4VSO is a swashplate-type axial piston pump for open circuits. Its high-performance rotating group, long-life bearing arrangement and precision-finished cylinder block keep volumetric efficiency stable across the full pressure range — even under continuous high-load operation in construction, mining and metallurgical equipment.

Long-life heavy-duty design

High-performance rotating group with multiple patented features, dimensioned for continuous duty at 350 bar rather than intermittent peaks.

High power density

Up to 315 kW at 350 bar and 524 L/min from the 300 mL/r frame — more output per unit of installation space.

18 displacements, one platform

From 28 to 300 mL/r with shared mounting interfaces, so machine variants can be built from a single pump family.

Excellent suction performance

Optimised inlet geometry delivers low noise and reliable self-priming at speeds up to 2600 rpm.

Pressure, remote pressure, pressure/flow, constant power, power with cut-off, load sensing and electro-proportional control.

Through-drive ready

U31, U33, U34 and U35 through-shaft options let you mount a second pump for tandem circuits without a second prime mover.

Control options

Match the control to your circuit

Every frame size is available with the full control range, so the same pump platform can serve pressure-held, power-limited or load-sensing circuits.

Pressure control

Holds system pressure constant across the control range and supplies only the flow the system demands. Stepless adjustment from 20 to 350 bar.

DRG

Remote pressure control

Identical pressure-holding behaviour to DR, with a relief valve connected at port X for remote setting. The relief valve is not included.

DFR / DFR1

Pressure & flow control

Adds load-sensing flow control to the pressure function. Flow follows the actual actuator demand through the pressure drop across an external orifice.

Constant power control

Flow varies inversely with pressure so that the product of flow and pressure — and therefore drive torque — stays constant across the working range.
